About Me

Hi there! My name is Andi, I use she/her pronouns, and I am a graduate student at UCLA.

I am in my 1st year of my Master of Public Health program and 2nd year of my MA program for Asian American Studies.

I am passionate about healthy equity and immigration justice.

My current class projects include addressing food insecurity through school-based interventions and increasing health access among elderly Asian immigrants.

As a critical digital map maker, my goals are to...

  • As a research assistant, I helped out with their SNAP-Ed Implementation Guide for Asian immigrant populations.
• Dr. Azmitia's Research Lab
  • I interviewed participants and coded qualitative data for a study highlighting the experiences of first-generation college students.
    • You never forget the educators who have especially impacted you & touched your soul; Margarita Azmitia is one of them!
• Asian American/Pacific Islander Resource Center
  • As a lead intern, I created & coordinated student events, workshops, and connected students to campus resources.
• Asian American Drug Abuse Program
  • I volunteered at their youth rehabilitation facility.
